Dr. Alison Laidley of Texas Breasts Specialists at Texas Oncology's team called Laidley's Ladies will celebrate their 8th year of being involved in the Susan G Komen Dallas Race for the Cure. Dr. Laidley's team is made up of patients, their families, friends and her patients caregivers. We look at the race as a time to celebrate.

The Laidleys Ladies team is not only for patients but for anyone who has had breast cancer touch their lives, the lives of their friends or loved ones. When you join Laidleys Ladies team, you will receive a free Laidleys Ladies team t-shirt.

For the last two years Laidley's Ladies has won the team t-shirt design contest, and for the past three years we have had the largest team in the medical category. Last year was our largest yet at 652 members. We have also raised over $60,000.

For years, I have sponsored hundreds of "Laidley's Ladies" (current and former patients) in the Komen Dallas County Race for the Cure®. But why should just the ladies have all the fun?

I have created a new non-profit organization, Laidley's Ladies & Gentlemen, which raises funds for breast cancer research year-round through a variety of events in which both women and men– patients or not—can be involved.

Our signature event, a casino-style party, is now a full-fledged "Night In Vegas" that will feature dancing, magic, live and silent auctions, and a few Vegas-style surprises. I hope you and your friends will join us!

Another exciting addition this year is a remarkable relationship with Chef Gorji of Canary by Gorji. Proceeds from wine dinners, cooking classes, and the sale of his Gorji Gourmet Foods product line will benefit Laidley's Ladies & Gentlemen!
